You are watching: Windows vista no audio output device is installed
Did you download the Vista driver at http://www.laptops-drivers.com/toshiba-drivers/satellite-u300-u305-realtek-audio-driver.html?
Open the Control Panel and then Sound Audio Devices and make sure that the Realtech Audio Device is selected here.Sometimes with Windows when you install some Software this can become the Default Sound Device and can cause this to happen.Col
According to www.noaudiooutput.com you have a driver problem. I know you probably already updated your driver and it didn"t work, (we all have). But check them out cuz there are different ways of doing it. Hey they saved my butt and now, I have sound :)
Go to device manager and click the button to uninstall the audio driver. Then click the buttton `scan for hardware changes`.I had the same problem and it worked for me.Good luck!Marcos.
