Aahh, thank you. I resolved it slightly in different way after realizing that error :Simplified first equation to J = 2S - 4 and subbed 2S - 4 into the 2nd equationS + 4 = 3/4 (2s)4S + 16 = 6S16 = 2S , S=8 and plugged that ago into the an initial equation

You've translated incorrectly. Your an initial equation is a translate into of "Four year ago, jane was twice as old as Sam is now" however the intended translation is that "Four year ago, woman was double as old as Sam was 4 years ago.
