I had to remove and replace the intake manifold on my 4 cylinder 2007 Ford Focus, in order to replace the PCV valve.Now I"m obtaining a inspect engine light v a P2004 "Intake Manifold Runner regulate Stuck Open bank 1" error.Trying to identify if replacing the IMRC valve will solve this (the simpler solution), or if I need to remove the intake manifold and also check the flapper valves (which I definitely am no looking front to).Since a new valve is about $140, i would like to know prior to buying if replacing it is most likely to help.Anyone have any type of suggestions for fixing this? removed the intake manifold a 2nd time yes, really sux.Thanks for any advice!

I discovered what the trouble was. I had failed to re-connect an electrical connector to the actuator assembly.Lesson learned---always double-check the evident first. In this case, an electric connector the hadn"t been plugged ago in after ~ the job was done.In the case of this focus manifold removal---there are about a half-dozen electrical connections. Few of which space hidden and also hard to see after things have been put back together again!
